Epic

What is an Epic Trip?

EPIC Trips are a combination of a SLT and an engaged education trip. This allows you to delve deeper and connect with local culture and history by visiting once-in-a-lifetime destinations while giving back to local communities with a week of volunteering. Spend one week volunteering in the Mobile Clinics at local communities and an additional week exploring the local land.

Day 3: Begin your adventure today at the ancient fortress of Ollantaytambo. Take a short hike to visit the terraced ruins. Later, stop at the colorful artisanal market to learn about local art and textiles, before boarding the train to Aguas Calientes.

Day 4: Wake up early to catch the best views of the famed Inca fortress of Machu Picchu. Your historian guide will lead you on a 2.5 hour tour of the ruins, visiting the temples, terraces and all the best spots for photos. For those who’ve reserved in advance, there will be an optional trek to Machu Picchu mountain! Return to Cusco in the evening.
